Responsibilities

Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul small engines used in lawnmowers, chainsaws, and related equipment

Drive 34-ton truck and 16 trailer regularly

Pick up and drop off customers' equipment professionally

Work within company programs, policies, and procedures

Promote and support established programs

Communicate with approved vendors

Operate a forklift

Follow safety policies and procedures; serve as a safety role model

Perform other assigned duties

Work in ACE Hardware retail locations during slow periods

Required

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

One to three months related experience and/or training

Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

Ability to write warranty claims and service tickets

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public

Basic math concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication

Valid Drivers License

During slow or off-season technician will be asked to work in one of our ACE Hardware retail locations. This would be temporary if at all and determined by workload
