Stand-up a new Snowflake cloud environment (Greenfield) from scratch in the cloud. Provide strategy, design and implementation of Snowflake cloud solution.
• Design & Develop Data Solutions:
Develop scalable and efficient data models, tables, and views in Snowflake, ensuring the performance and reliability of data solutions.
• ETL/ELT Process Development:
Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data into Snowflake from various sources (e.g., APIs, databases, flat files). Optimize data flows for performance and scalability.
• Snowflake Data Modeling:
Develop and maintain dimensional and relational data models in Snowflake, ensuring proper indexing, partitioning, and optimization techniques are applied.
• Performance Optimization:
Monitor and optimize Snowflake queries and database performance using techniques like clustering, materialized views, and query optimization strategies. Address performance bottlenecks and improve overall efficiency.
• Data Transformation:
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to transform data for reporting and analytics. Ensure proper use of Snowflake’s features, such as time travel, zero-copy cloning, and multi-cluster warehouses.
• Integration with Other Tools:
Integrate Snowflake with various third-party tools, data lakes, and data warehouses (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Blob Storage, Google Cloud Storage). Use data integration platforms like Matillion, Talend, or Informatica for data workflows.
• Collaboration with Teams:
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver high-quality, scalable data products.
• Data Governance & Security:
Implement data governance practices by managing user roles, access controls, and security policies in Snowflake. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal standards.
