Responsibilities

Leadership: Spearhead complex engineering projects to completion, facilitate technical discussions, set the direction for software development practices and standards, and support the engineering team at all levels. Demonstrate a high degree of independence and self-organization, proactively and without constant oversight.

Product: Utilize the latest frontend technologies and frameworks. Act as a decision maker for product design and user experience. Ensure the product design aligns with business objectives and provides an exceptional user experience.

Front-End Development: Design and build intuitive and responsive user interfaces for a scalable SAAS edtech product. Ensure the frontend is optimized for performance, reliability, and accessibility.

Integrations: Facilitate the integration of frontend components with backend systems. Evaluate, validate, and test frontend and backend integrations for compatibility, security, and performance.

User Experience: Ensure the product provides an exceptional user experience by implementing best practices in UI/UX design. Continuously improve the interface based on user feedback and industry trends.

Reliability: Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues. Document product requirements, architecture, and design.

Security: Ensure frontend security and data protection settings are designed, implemented, and configured correctly.

Optimizations: Identify opportunities and lead efforts to improve frontend performance and features.

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Design, or related technical field.

Minimum of 5 years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages and frameworks including (but not limited to) JavaScript, React, and CSS.

3+ years of experience using cloud-scale services and frontend development tools.

Proven ability to work independently on technical projects.

Strong ability to navigate ambiguity.

Confidence to drive projects to completion in a fast-paced environment.

Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and autonomy in decision-making.
