Responsibilities

Collaborate with key internal partners to determine how to scalably design backend systems and APIs

Develop, and operate Go and Java services deployed to a billion users.

Work with data engineers to build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks like Scio, Storm, Spark and the Google Cloud Platform.

Design, Develop and Deploy large scale software systems, platforms, infrastructure on public cloud at scale

Participate in our on-call rotation and lead the incident reviews

Be an active technical member and valued contributor in an autonomous, cross-functional agile team

Collaborate with other engineers, product owners, and designers to identify and solve challenging problems.

Participate in a culture of learning through design discussions and code reviews.

Required

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in computer science or related field; equivalent combination of experience

Strong fundamentals: algorithms, distributed computing, data structure, database

Hands on Experience with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation.

Have recent experience with Go, Java, or other OO programming languages with a solid understanding of OO design principles, concurrency, multi-threading, performance tuning, and observability.

Experience in participating as an effective collaborator in architecting, building, and operating distributed systems with high availability, fault tolerance, and performance in a team setting.

Have the ability to proactively describe complex technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders through written and/or verbal communication.

Knowledge of DevOps principles, tools and technologies (e.g. CI/CD, Terraform, Containerization)

Self-driven, challenge-loving, detail oriented, teamwork spirit, excellent communication skills, ability to multitask and manage expectations

Preferred

Experience with Prebid, Headerbidding, Google Ad Manager a big plus

Experience with Open Real Time Bidding (ORTB) protocol, Auction Mechanics, Bidders and Pacers a big plus

Has familiarity with legal compliance and changing landscape of ads regulations around the world
