Responsibilities

Designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software programs for databases, applications, and tools.

Create high-performing enterprise cloud application RESTful APIs.

Collaborate with stakeholders and domain experts to develop innovative technical solutions that address healthcare industry challenges effectively.

Leverage cloud-native technologies to build highly scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems while incorporating monitoring and observability capabilities.

Apply agile development methodologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and timely delivery of software solutions.

Offer troubleshooting expertise for existing application maintenance.

Assist with vulnerability remediation, performance improvements, and defect correction support for legacy applications.

Perform and enforce technical design document and code review processes to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.

Foster an environment of knowledge sharing through documentation and continuous learning among team members.

Required

Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation.

Strong knowledge of Java and Maven.

Hands-on experience in developing enterprise cloud application APIs using RESTful Web Services, leveraging JSON and Java.

Exhibit a strong knowledge and comprehension of Oracle databases.

Experience in Software Agile Development methodologies.

Strong technical acumen, creativity, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills and a can-do attitude.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Preferred

Experience developing services on a public cloud platform, preferably OCI.

Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Ruby, Jenkins, Apache Avro, JSON, Google Protocol Buffers, PL/SQL.

Experience with vulnerability remediation using SonarQube.

Development experience working with CCL (Cerner Command Language).

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
