Responsibilities
Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug a set of core OCI storage infrastructure services
Actively define and evolve standard practices and procedures
Provide technical leadership to other software developers
Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet continuously evolving needs
Lead projects and participate significantly in the design of storage media projects
Diagnose and troubleshoot problems with disk IO subsystems and recommend solutions

Required
Strong knowledge of disk storage system IO technologies
Experience with Linux kernel Block IO Layer or other OS/kernel Block IO drivers
BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
8+ years of software engineering or related experience
Current C++ coding experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
4-8 years experience with disk storage system IO technologies
Experience in debugging storage HW/FW/Driver issues
Experience in benchmarking & analyzing disk/storage performance
Experience with data storage fault tolerance and reliability techniques (mirroring, RAID, erasure coding, etc.)
Preferred
Knowledge and experience with HBAs, RAID adapters, and SAS expanders
