Responsibilities

Develop and maintain linear referencing systems (LRS) and GIS applications to support spatial data management needs.

Drive the daily execution of scope of work for the integrated enterprise software solution development team (kick-off through project close) to meet contract requirements.

Formally identifies, assesses, and monitors the project scope.

Lead data mapping and integration plan for clients data.

Research and determine the clients’ needs to determine which features to include in product implementation.

Collaborate closely with both the scrum and product development teams to ensure the products meet specific objectives as outlined by stakeholders and clients.

Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing LRS and GIS applications.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, GIS or related field

Knowledge and experience of Software Development Life Cycle

3+ years’ experience and a demonstrated proficiency in data extraction, analysis and scripting tools, preferably Oracle SQL and PostgreSQL

2+ years’ experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python

Self-starter with a technical background in software and ability to work with minimal supervision

Ability to understand and manage scope, prioritize work effectively

In-depth knowledge of Scrum and Agile Software Development Methodology

Solid understanding of design quality standards.

Preferred

Experience working with Municipal, State and Federal Agencies is a plus.

Prior experience with LRS/GIS and working knowledge and experience with ESRI Roads & Highways or other similar systems is a plus.
