Responsibilities
Make quick two-way-door decisions and execute them to meet patching visibility goals with guidance from leadership.
Influence architecture and design efforts, enhance current products, and develop new service offerings in support of AWS Security goals.
Work with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand the business and customer value of the team's software solutions.
Champion operational excellence by continuously improving team operations to enhance customer experience and service stability.
Mentor junior engineers, serve as a technical escalation point, and actively participate in the code review process.
Provide data on out-of-date OS software, patch-status, and remediation SLAs to help service teams secure their fleets and stay compliant with security standards.

Required
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
