Responsibilities
Develop and maintain application code for EBSCO’s security automation applications.
Implement minor software enhancements and fix defects in existing security automation applications.
Create and maintain unit tests.
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated tests to ensure comprehensive coverage based on requirements.
Uphold software engineering best practices, including design, coding standards, performance, test automation, security, delivery, maintainability, and fostering a positive culture.
Collaborate with product management and your team to break down complex software requirements into manageable user stories for planning and execution.
Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements for existing systems and platforms.
Work with fellow software engineers to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices in design, coding standards, performance, security, delivery, and maintainability.
Address identified technical debt issues.
Maintain thorough documentation of your work.
Embrace and practice the principles of the Agile Manifesto and SAFe framework in all interactions.

Required
Working toward a bachelor's degree in a computer science field or related experience.
Basic knowledge of Software Design, Algorithms, Programming, and Data Structures.
Preferred
Experience building software applications in a class, as a personal hobby, as part of an open-source project.
Experience with source code management tools such as GitHub.
Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.
