Responsibilities

Performs tasks in design, development, and implementation of embedded software.

Analyzes and investigates engineering project tasks, defines specifications and parameters, develops programs, and resolves any design considerations.

Applies systems solutions to business problems through the design and programming of embedded systems.

Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates computer programs for embedded systems used in end item products.

Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, software architecture, prepares flow charting, performs coding, and tests/debugs programs.

Participates and supports local and international teams to develop solutions to complex engineering problems. Defines statement of work for domestic and international suppliers to develop software life cycle data per system requirements.

Performs all programming and system design assignments without close supervision.

Regularly interacts with internal and external customers and interdisciplinary teams to define and meet requirements.

Develops and maintains software processes and documentation to achieve airworthiness certification of software products per industry and customer requirements.

Involved in defining software requirements and the management of such requirements.

Develop and maintain DO-178 Life-cycle documentation.

Hands-on troubleshooting of software and hardware systems.

Performs other related duties as required.

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Minimum 1 year of software development experience.

Minimum 1 year’ experience with using a high-level programming language such as (C/C++, C#, Python)
