Responsibilities
Research, design, and develop computer software systems for laser, semiconductor, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, and scientific applications.
Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Design and maintain software on a variety of laser systems.
Consult with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software.
Formulate and design software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
Develop and direct software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
Consult with customers concerning maintenance of software systems.
Create, modify, update, and document software necessary for machine functionality.
Customize system software for application-specific solutions.
Work with cross-functional teams to jointly develop new products in a fast-paced environment.

Required
Bachelor of Science degree in software or electrical engineering discipline
5+ years of professional work experience in software development
Experience with Visual Basic, CC, and/or C+
Digital and analog electronics programming, laser controls, drives and servos, PC-based controls
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work self-directed
Experience with Motion Control Software programming and development
Performs the work necessary to design, develop, document, test, integrate, and modify operating systems and application software for a variety of systems and components
Preferred
Vision system integration knowledge
Embedded software development experience
