Responsibilities

Document, plan, and execute small-to-medium scale projects with minimal-to-no supervision

Work closely with the team to review code and share best practices

Maintain a heightened attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and troubleshooting capability

Be able to work across multiple projects that may span different languages & technologies

Identify areas for improvement and how to best mitigate risk in given scenarios

Maintain documentation for our internal knowledge base

Participate in on-call rotation for applications, systems, and infrastructure developed and/or maintained by the Ad Serving team

Required

3+ years of experience with software engineering, SDLC principles, and version control(Git)

Proven track record of development in JVM-based languages such as Java and Kotlin

Familiarity with the tooling and frameworks surrounding JVM-based ecosystem(compilation, package management, etc.)

Strong understanding of design patterns

Experience with RESTful services and scalable, load-balanced HTTP architecture

Ownership of in-house application projects from birth to development to decommissioning

Working proficiency in other languages such as Go, and PHP

Knowledge of containerization platforms such as Docker

Knowledge of CI/CD systems such as Jenkins

Working knowledge of AWS services

Working knowledge of SQL & NoSQL

Experience with automation and infrastructure-as-code (such as Terraform)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Be able to work in a remote, distributed team

Strong ability to troubleshoot, debug and optimize applications

Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
