Responsibilities

Full-stack development
Define product design and architecture both independently and in concert with cross-team designers and architects
End-to-end feature design
Effectively lead development for epics and user stories
Assist and sometimes substitute for Software Engineering Manager on specific duties
Take lead role in code reviews as a submitter, approver, and merger
Model healthy participation in all Agile ceremonies for other teams members and drive continuous improvement
Facilitate team technical discussions and helps guide decision-making
Engage with product owner to improve user stories and write user stories when needed
Champion DevOps best practices
Define and advocate continuous improvement to test automation strategy
Develop and update test automation artifacts for static, unit, integration, and end-to-end quality validation
Explore and design infrastructure options
Design and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) artifacts
Create architecture diagrams, sequence/data flow diagrams, and other documentation as required
Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug software and/or infrastructure
Mentor junior engineers

Required

Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
6-10+ years as a Software Engineer or similar
Deep expertise with two or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#, C++, Java, Ruby), C# specifically a plus
Mastery of complex HTML, CSS, and JavaScript concepts and integration techniques
Experience with multiple web service front-end frameworks (e.g., Blazor, Angular, React, Vue)
Experience with multiple web service application frameworks (e.g., .NET, Spring, Django, Rails), .NET Framework and/or .NET strongly preferred
Broad and deep mastery of the Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) constructs in Structured Query Language (SQL)
Wide-ranging experience with NoSQL data stores and caching technologies
Experience with reporting tools, Telerik Reporting or SSRS a plus
Proficient using IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Eclipse Jetbrains Suite, NetBeans, XCode), Visual Studio 2019 or newer preferred
Thorough knowledge and experience with Git-style source control repositories, Bitbucket a plus
Wide experience with AWS core network, compute, storage, and communications services; Solutions Architect/Developer Professional certificates a plus
Thorough knowledge of Agile Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne), Jira preferred
Capable of producing quality code independently, with limited guidance on architecture or design
Dedicated to constant learning and skills improvement
Experience developing web applications and APIs
Familiarity with DevOps best practices
Experience with CI/CD and IaC concepts and experience using one or more CI/CD (e.g., Bitbucket, Jenkins, TeamCity) and IaC (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform) platform pairings highly desirable
Experience and enthusiasm for full engagement with Agile concepts, processes, and best practices
Broad experience working in Agile teams with active cross-team collaboration
Familiarity with static, unit, integration, and end-to-end testing best practices and automation
Excellent oral and written communications

Preferred

Knowledge of ASP.NET WebForms to help support legacy applications.
Knowledge or experience using Razor Syntax and building Blazor WASM Single Page Applications (SPA)
Working with Telerik components is a plus
Ability and desire to adapt and acquire the skillsets needed to meet the demands of our rapidly growing company
