Responsibilities

Designs, develops, evaluates, plans and tests engineering specifications for software programs and applications
Work with team and customer for sprint planning, execution and reviews.
Formulate software solutions, explore problematic areas and investigate issues. Create and showcase solutions by generating documentation, code comments and clear coding practices.
Conduct developer testing in both lab environments and aboard ship when required, to verify software executing in line with requirements.
Limited travel in support of software install and testing.

US Citizenship Required
Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science in Engineering Discipline
Required Experience: 7+ years of related experience in systems engineering
Required Technical Skills: Experience in systems engineering, working knowledge of Unix, previous C# software experience, able to develop task and execute plans.
Security Clearance Level: Secret
Must earn Security + certification within 90 days of hire.
Location: Remote - must be near Virginia Beach

Preferred

Nice to have Skills and Abilities: Operational or development knowledge of training systems.
Experience with JIRA and subversion.
