Responsibilities

Analyze and understand business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation to develop test strategies and plans.

Design, create, and execute test cases and test scripts for manual and automated testing.

Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, performance, usability, and security testing.

Identify, document, and track software defects using defect tracking tools.

Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Ensure comprehensive test coverage by identifying critical areas for testing and conducting exploratory testing as needed.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.

Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, providing input on quality assurance.

Generate detailed test reports and metrics to communicate testing progress and quality status to stakeholders.

Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a Software Tester, Quality Assurance Analyst, or similar role.

Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.

Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps).

Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, Postman).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Knowledge of database querying using SQL and experience in API testing.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Required Security clearance.

Preferred

Experience in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) is a plus.

Federal Experience is a plus.
