Responsibilities

Ability to think strategically and align to the organizational readiness
Ability to influence decisions based on merit
Independent thinker and self-starter
Collaborate with solution business architects (SBAs) and domain architects (DAs) to develop more strategic EA guidance for projects.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure that solutions are integrated and aligned with overall enterprise architecture.
Ensure that solutions are scalable, secure, and reliable.
Build and maintain a pipeline of team initiatives that align the business solution architecture team to Key strategic efforts and goals
Change agent with business stake holders
Evaluate short-term business needs required to support key business goals and establish priorities.
Consult with business, information and technical subject matter experts to identify how a given business architecture can support these goals.
Create future state enterprise business architecture models (business capability models and value chain models)
Maintain and continually evaluate current state business capability models
Assist in developing technology roadmaps and overall technology strategy with business capability pain point discovery and analysis Identify process improvements, opportunities and trends and introduce them into the strategic planning cycle
Understanding of bank, LOB, and I.T. Economics; financial analysis
Understand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models
Industry and competitor research
Deep business knowledge
Broad technology knowledge
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams.
Core and Strategic business process knowledge

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Master's Degree in Technology or Business desirable
7+ years of experience in solution architecture
At least 3 years in a leadership role desirable
Experience in architecting enterprise applications across the application, data, and infrastructure domains
Experience in managing and driving enterprise architecture capabilities within a large corporation
Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles and practices
Must be a Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus
Must be highly reliable, trustworthy, honest, and commitment oriented
Experience in performing industry analysis and identifying technology trends specific to the portfolio
Experience in acting as liaison conveying information between the business unit and their counterparts within Information Technology
The ability to manage and mentor a team of architects ensuring the development and growth of the team
Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance
Experience in recognizing pain points within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies

Preferred

Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred
