Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based infrastructure solutions.
Collaborate with architecture, development, and operations teams to deploy and optimize cloud-native applications and services.
Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
Monitor and manage cloud resources, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in cloud environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum reliability.
Implement and enforce security best practices in the cloud, including access controls, encryption, and vulnerability management.
Develop CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment and scaling of applications in cloud environments.
Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring systems are prepared for unexpected events.
Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve operations and processes.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and learning.

Required

7+ years of experience in IT, with 3+ years in cloud engineering or similar roles.
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with certifications (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer).
Strong knowledge of cloud networking, storage, and compute services.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Expertise in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Stackdriver.
Solid understanding of cloud security principles, compliance requirements, and tools (e.g., IAM, KMS, or Security Hub).
Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Preferred

Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid environments.
Knowledge of serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions).
Familiarity with cloud cost optimization techniques and tools such as AWS Cost Explorer or Azure Cost Management.
Background in database management and cloud-based database services like RDS, Cosmos DB, or BigQuery.
Exposure to edge computing or IoT cloud implementations.
