Responsibilities
Report directly to a member of our leadership team
Work with RICJ staff
Assist staff writers and editors on ongoing projects and investigations
Pitch stories and add to writing portfolio

Required
Must be located in the Chicago area for in-person meetings and events
Must be able to attend scheduled meetings and check-ins with the supervisor
Must have access to a personal computer
Must be familiar with Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom
Must be able to communicate concerns effectively and be inquisitive
Be kind and friendly
Have a sense of humor
Must have an interest in nonprofits and local journalism
Must have a keen interest in Chicago
