Responsibilities

Develop: Create and modify custom reports being conscious of GAAP.

Improve: Enhance and maintain existing automated custom reports to ensure they’re GAAP compliant.

Data Manipulation and Analysis: Use SQL to manipulate data and generate reports that support onboarding customer data and business decisions.

Performance Tuning: Help optimize database queries to improve performance and response times.

Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving basic database issues by understanding the business requirements.

Documentation: Document reports, changes, and queries as well as prepare reports on utilization.

Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers and database administrators to understand and implement complex SQL queries and database schemas.

Learning and Development: Continuously learn and apply new SQL techniques and technologies to improve database efficiency and functionality.

Required

1-2 years of experience with MS SQL Server

Advanced knowledge and experience in T-SQL and complex ETL tools

Advanced knowledge of GAAP

Expert level understanding of database and data model concepts

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting or a related field

Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Preferred

Familiarity with programming languages such as C#, Python, Apache Spark, Java, or typescript are beneficial

Construction Accounting experience is highly desirable

Vertical SaaS experience is highly desirable

Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a plus
