Responsibilities

Develop SQL scripts and queries for database creation, modification, and retrieval.
Design and implement database structures, tables, indexes, and constraints.
Optimize SQL queries for performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot database-related issues and performance bottlenecks.
Ensure data integrity and security through effective access controls and encryption techniques.
Collaborate with software developers and stakeholders to understand database requirements and application integration.
Create and maintain technical documentation related to databases and SQL scripts.
Perform database maintenance tasks, including backups and restores with different recovery models.
Stay updated with database technologies and trends, recommending improvements and best practices.

Required

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Proven experience as a SQL Developer or similar role.
Proficiency in SQL programming and database management.
Solid understanding of database design principles, including normalization and indexing.
Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
Familiarity with database tools for schema design, data modeling, and version control.
Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), preferably with Microsoft SQL Server.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience with reporting; must understand business concepts.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
