Responsibilities

Collaborate with the software development team to design, code, and test software solutions, focusing on developing and maintaining critical components

Support in application and developer

Work with senior team members to meet project requirements and deadlines, actively participating in design and code reviews

Contribute to troubleshooting and problem-solving in software development, diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues

Participate in the development and documentation of software requirements and specifications

Debug and resolve complex production issues, working closely with senior engineers and support teams

Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices, researching and proposing innovative solutions

Assist in mentoring and guiding junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise

Take ownership of challenging technical tasks and collaborate on architectural decisions

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering preferred

Typically, 2+ years of relevant work experience in the industry, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role and years of experience in software engineering

Proficiency in any of the following: Perl, Windows, Oracle/SQL, HTML, CGI, Unix/Linux, CSH, Cron, Python, Java

Experience analyzing and documenting

Application support and application developer

Strong programming and debugging skills

Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies

Strong problem-solving skills

Good team collaboration and communication abilities

Remote to Puerto Rico only (Resources need to reside in Puerto Rico)

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents due to ITAR compliance
