Responsibilities

Identification of unknown attacks by analyzing patterns of abuse and differentiating attacks from legitimate requests using available data sources.
Proactively monitor and investigate evolutions in known persistent attacks against the network.
Investigate the methods of attacks observed or hinted at from the data leading to possible exploits or bypasses in the code or security tools.
Lead security investigations based on inquiries from other organizations within security, legal, Customer Service, or Public Relations.
Manage, customize, and configure security tools in collaboration with third-party vendors.
Collaborate with other teams responsible for security tools and provide feedback and recommendations to them.
Work with engineering teams to address security vulnerabilities and improve application logs to better identify future attacks.
Provide input on new features and potential threats with upcoming features based on knowledge and experience gained with security research.
Mentor others in understanding, detecting, and monitoring areas with potential security threats.

Required

5+ years of experience in IT security research and security operation including various fraud and abuse activities
5+ years of experience with Splunk including strong analytical skills using Splunk to rapidly develop functional queries and dashboards
3+ years of experience in SQL design, development and validation (QA)
Experience with web debugging tools (e.g, Burp or Charles proxy)
Familiarity with programming language concepts (Java, C, JavaScript, Python, etc)
Ability to work both independently and with related teams including software engineering, server operation, business stakeholders, customer support and management.
Good written and oral communication skills including but not limited to documenting and presenting
Understanding of common web protocols (e.g, HTTP)

Preferred

Ability to work with Data Volumes in TB and prepare optimized searches
Experience in gaming industry
Knowledge in PlayStation services
