Responsibilities

Project-specific data and regulatory research

Desktop assessments and field surveys, including habitat evaluations, protected species and avian nest surveys, and wetlands delineations

Consultation with local, state, and/or federal agencies

Preparation of reports such as Biological Assessments, Environmental Assessments, and NEPA-related documentation, as well as permit applications

Required

Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology, Environmental Science with a concentration in Biology, or a closely related field (e.g. Natural Resource Management, Ecology, or similar)

2-5 years of professional experience in the environmental industry

Working understanding of the regulatory requirements of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Endangered Species Act, and other related federal and state regulations

Passion for Biological Assessments
