Responsibilities
Develop and/or lead teams in studies, plans, criteria, specifications, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, cost estimates, and budgets related to energy facilities/systems.
Provide consultation and recommendations to the Company and other business units based on technical expertise.
Review financial data, participate in creating/updating standards, and provide technical training and mentorship.
Lead and perform specialized engineering tasks, projects, and assignments independently or with multi-discipline teams.
Act as an expert in a specialized area, provide recommendations for improving performance and cost effectiveness, and participate in industry societies and committees.

Required
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer
Knowledge of engineering designs, principles and practices
Ability to analyze and interpret complex electrical and mechanical systems
Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches and engineering theory
Detailed knowledge of applicable standards, codes methods, and practices unique to areas of expertise
7+ years of professional engineering experience
Thorough knowledge and experience in unique areas of engineering expertise
Ability to apply advanced engineering principles to identify and resolve complex issues
Minimum of three related career experiences OR Lead Member of a recognized industry committee OR Professional Engineer's License, advanced technical degree, MBA or Project Management Certification
Master's degree in Engineering reduces the OJT experience requirement by 1 year
License must be issued by the state in which you are practicing
PE License reduces the OJT experience requirement by 1 year
Career-related experiences are defined as changes in technical job responsibilities and do not have to include a change in department
Preferred
Electrical engineer
Primary service experience
Strong foundation in gas and/or electric distribution
Experience with communication systems (team owns their own smart grid network – AMI System)
Experience leading and organizing cross-team initiatives
