Responsibilities
Identify and nurture strategic high touch content partners.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with external consultants and subject matter experts.
Negotiate contracts, manage collaborations, and ensure that all third-party contributions meet our quality standards and deadlines.
Lead the planning and execution of content strategies that align with customer needs and product roadmaps.
Ensure content is innovative, pedagogically sound, and meets the learning objectives of K-12 digital literacy curricula.
Work closely with Product Management, UX/UI, and Engineering teams to prototype new content formats across multiple platforms for the best possible customer experience.
Manage and mentor a small content team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high performance.
Provide ongoing training and development for content team members on the latest content production tools, processes, and best practices.
Create comprehensive guidelines and standards for content creation that ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with educational objectives.
Develop and implement a robust content production rubric to streamline the creation of educational content.
Create stringent version control and documentation process to manage updates and revisions of content efficiently.
Oversee the content validation process to ensure all materials meet educational standards and are compliant with relevant regulations.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards across all content outputs.
Work across departments (Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Sales) to ensure a cohesive approach to content development that supports product goals, enhances user engagement, and aligns with business growth goals.
Keep abreast of the latest trends in educational technology and digital content creation to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Manage the content development budget, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively to meet organizational goals.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Communications, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 7 years in educational content development, curation and vendor management, with at least 4 years in a management role overseeing content teams.
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage content development teams.
Strong ability to develop and execute content strategies that align with business objectives.
Demonstrated expertise in managing third-party relationships and contracts effectively, with a high touch.
Proven ability to assess and navigate trade-offs between quality and timeliness, ensuring deliverables align with business objectives while making informed decisions about when to launch or release, even when not fully optimized.
A deep understanding of K-12 educational content development, digital literacy, and current educational technology trends is a must.
Track record of success within a for-profit organization, understanding financial metrics and strategic business growth are crucial.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex content strategies to stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of navigating complex project challenges.
Proficiency with AI tools to continuously and efficiently analyze data, enhance content design, and streamline development processes.
Familiarity with content management systems and digital publishing environments.
The ability to move quickly and adapt to changing market needs and organizational requirements.
