Responsibilities

Acts as a subject matter expert establishing the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
Provides measurable input into the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
Contributes to the planning of the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
Assists facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities) and materials logistics (packaging design).
Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow.
Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.
Plans the allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.
Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
May assist facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities) and materials logistics (packaging design).

Required

Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations. OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience OR
In absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and must meet eligibility requirements

Preferred

Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Experience with Microelectronics specifics, Clean Room, Wire Bond, Die attach, Flip chip, Surface Mount Technology
A working-knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Value Stream Mapping, Standard operating procedures, Root-Cause Analysis and Set-Up Reduction/Mistake-Proofing is preferred.
Skills in automating KPIs with use of software integrated to MRP system.
7-10 years experience as an Industrial Engineer/Mechanical Engineer
