Responsibilities

Support, troubleshoot, extend, and improve the network across physical datacenters and circuits, and multi-provider cloud environments.

Support thousands of hosts worldwide with petabyte-scale data challenges.

Participate in root-cause analysis and postmortem discussions to effectively drive long-term operational health improvements.

Analyze process gaps and implement solutions to speed up execution and reduce manual toil.

Participate in an on-call rotation.

Required

Strong understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI model.

Strong understanding of IP networks and the protocols needed to run large-scale networks.

Experience troubleshooting complex network issues.

Experience working in a DevOps environment, using network automation tools such as Ansible, Git and Python.

Experience contributing to monitoring and alerting systems.

Experience with cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Azure or Alibaba Cloud.

Experience working with network operating systems such as Cumulus Linux, SONiC, Cisco IOS and Junos.

Experience in or interest towards in platform engineering; daily usage of technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker, specifically around being able to plan and build infrastructure to support these types of applications and troubleshooting the networking components of them.

Must be open to working in a hybrid work model
