Responsibilities

Oversee the execution of a comprehensive mainframe modernization program, spanning multiple years and workstreams.
Develop and manage detailed program roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives and deliverables.
Implement and lead robust program governance frameworks to ensure alignment, accountability, and success.
Direct cross-functional teams through complex technical migrations, including:
Z/OS to z/Linux transitions.
IMS to DB2 database conversions.
Broadcom product phase-outs.
Coordinate dependencies across diverse project streams, ensuring seamless integration.
Create and maintain integrated program plans that align with release cycles and business priorities.
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure program outcomes.
Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and manage program challenges.
Optimize costs while maintaining program momentum and delivering high-quality outcomes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Facilitate decision-making processes and align program goals across organizational boundaries.
Lead executive steering committee meetings, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and opportunities.
Collaborate with vendors and third-party partners to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
Manage program budgets, resource allocation, and financial reporting.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive benefits realization.
Oversee vendor contracts and ensure timely delivery of contracted services.

Required

12+ years of program management experience with proven success delivering complex IT initiatives.
5+ years leading large-scale mainframe modernization programs.
Demonstrated expertise in: Mainframe technology transformation.
Database migration (e.g., IMS to DB2).
Operating system transitions (e.g., z/OS to z/Linux).
Release management integration.
Strong understanding of mainframe architectures and technologies.
PMP certification or equivalent program management credential.

Preferred

Hands-on experience with: z/OS and z/Linux environments.
IMS and DB2 migrations.
Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Additional certifications such as ITIL, Agile, or TOGAF.
Background in organizational change management.
