Responsibilities

Lead SNC's overall effort to identify, develop, and capture new DoD programs in the space domain
Work with the Director and Senior Vice President of programs, and VP of business development to develop a 1 year and 5 year strategy to grow SNCs space domain business
Lead SNC's engagement with multiple DoD acquisition offices including USAF, USSF
Attend industry day events, conferences, and 1 on 1 engagements to gain knowledge of the space based ISR mission
Develop competitive solutions for space based ISR mission set
Lead responses to DoD requests for information, and requests for proposals
Develop strategic partnerships with industry partners

Required

Bachelor's degree in Business, or technical related discipline
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Proven leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
Mastery of the ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations
Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines.
Strong analytical background with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
DoD space domain experience in one or more of the following areas:
Strong customer ties in DoD space mission capabilities
Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and experience in Special Access Programs
Familiarity and awareness of emerging technologies relevant to business unit growth through customer engagement and attendance at industry related conferences
Ability to ensure alignment between business unit pursuits & programs, strategic campaigns, focused capture efforts, and BA level Technology Leadership
Relevant experience engaging new potential customers, and collecting and developing requirements for new programs
Advanced knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following disciplines: Business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualification
Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business
Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace
Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiences

Preferred

18+ years of relevant experience
Deep understanding and relationship with DoD advanced technology organizations and leaders
Advanced knowledge of industry standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to requirements management, Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)
Previous management experience: ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee staffing development and maintenance
Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business
Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets
