Responsibilities

Day to Day Software Lead for small project

Mentor junior engineers

Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features

Modify existing c++ and java software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance. This is not a web development role.

Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components

Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces

Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards

Write or review software and system documentation

Coordinate software system installation at customer sites

Peer review teammates code

Required

Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools

Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices

Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams

Understanding of C++, Java, Embedded Systems and Linux Small Project/Team Lead

5+ years of Leadership Experience
