Responsibilities

Review and analyze state statutes and regulations to determine impact and ensure adherence to filing and regulatory requirement
Review standard regulatory and industry bulletins to identify changes in state and insurance regulatory regulations which impact statutory statistical data requirements.
Review ad-hoc data calls from the various states and map them to Palms’ deliverables
Support the annual Producer Premium Reporting process by creating the CSV and XML files, validating for accuracy and submitting to the state
Responsible for the preparation of responses to DOI queries from various sates
Researches issues related to new and/or changing regulatory reporting requirements.
Develops and maintain SQL scripts to extract data from the Data Warehouse
Create various summaries and/or worksheets for monthly, quarterly and annual reports, and/or statements – Excel and XMLs
Collaborates with Compliance to communicate orally and in writing with Company personnel, state regulatory agencies and reporting bureaus.
Maintain manuals and documentation

Required

Bachelor's Degree
Experience: 4+ years
At least two years of experience in P&C (Property & Casualty) Commercial lines data reporting for Surplus Lines
Able to review instructions and understand data requirements, have general insurance coverage knowledge and how to extract specific data from the system
Relevant knowledge of regulatory or procedural compliance issues, with ability to apply to operations.
Ability to compile, organize, and review large amounts of data for accuracy
Ability to work independently with detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Good time management skills to prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends.

Preferred

Associate in Insurance Data Analytics (AIDA) designation or insurance-related certifications are preferable but not required.
