Responsibilities

Serve as company expert on sales and payroll taxes, regulatory compliance and registrations

Lead state sales tax audit processes and interaction with auditors

Research, educate and optimize all processes related to sales and payroll tax compliance and setup

Maintain all external systems and accesses to agency, state, federal sites required for tax, registration and regulatory filings/processes

Reconciliation of general ledger accounts

Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Ensure NetSuite / Avalara system is setup and operating appropriately for sales tax calculations

Function to minimize adverse audit/compliance impacts and maintain proactive approach to risk management and problem solving

Assist with financial audits as part of the accounting team

Manage general ledger accounts and own related month-end and year-end close processes

Ensure compliance with all internal processes
