Responsibilities
Analyze and provide direction on Group Life and Health Disability reinsurance programs to ensure competitive solutions
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support the development of reinsurance Requests for Proposals (RFP) and/or treaty changes
Lead actuarial risk evaluations consistent with ERM standards and best practices
Oversee actuarial governance initiatives such as peer reviews and model governance
Collaborate with various departments to achieve business objectives
Identify and implement process and risk evaluation improvements
Provide subject matter expertise to team members and stakeholders
Organize findings and present actuarial recommendations to management
Mentor team members and potentially work alongside a student on the team

Required
5-7+ years of increasing experience in Actuarial positions that directly align with the specific responsibilities of the position
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to think critically, identify potential challenges, discuss solutions, and validate results
Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining appropriate attention to detail and accuracy
Effective verbal and written communication skills
FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years of experience
Preferred
Experience and/or proficiency in reinsurance or risk management is preferred
Experience and/or proficiency with group insurance is preferred
