Responsibilities
Develop and implement large-scale automation frameworks tailored to meet organizational and program-specific needs.
Lead the selection and integration of tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, and Chef.
Ensure scalability, reliability, and modularity of automation solutions by employing methodologies such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and reusable components.
Define success metrics, including improved system throughput, reduced manual intervention, and increased system uptime.
Architect automation solutions compatible with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud as well as hybrid and on-premises systems.
Address challenges such as network connectivity, secure data transfer, and API compatibility.
Implement resilient designs with tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker Swarm to orchestrate automation across hybrid deployments.
Enable dynamic resource scaling and ensure seamless orchestration across environments.
Integrate automation into DevOps workflows to optimize efficiency and reduce deployment times.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, and CircleCI.
Automate testing, deployment, and configuration management to support continuous delivery.
Establish fully automated pipelines with rollback mechanisms and environment provisioning to enhance operational stability.

Required
8+ years in automation architecture, with a focus on government systems and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Terraform, Ansible).
Deep understanding of cloud and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, Kubernetes).
Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipeline integration.
Demonstrated ability to overcome challenges in network connectivity, data transfer, and resource orchestration.
Strong project management and team collaboration skills, with a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams.
This position requires an ACTIVE DHS PUBLIC TRUST CLEARANCE. Applications lacking this clearance level will NOT be considered.
Preferred
Experience with modular and reusable design principles for automation.
Knowledge of government security standards and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with metrics-driven development and operational analysis to measure automation impact.
