Responsibilities
Design tables and statistical procedures for specific research studies.
Write statistical computer programs and reviews output for consistency and quality.
Analyze data and prepare tables for interim and final reports.
Collaborate with investigators to develop objectives, designing sampling, randomization, and data collection procedures to achieve study objectives.
Develop and apply new statistical methodologies to research projects.
Prepare analyses with general direction from investigators (Performed regularly and continuously as a primary duty of the position).
Make significant contribution of conclusive thought to publications.
Write statistical design, methods, and analysis for research proposals.
Assume significant role on research project team, e.g. serves on committees, supervises project personnel, coordinate q/c efforts.
Help develop and manage a central data center for the JHU Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Dashboard project.
Independent, substantive contact with other internal and external investigators or study staff.
Lead data management tasks including cleaning, variable creation, merging datasets and compiling data from various sources. As well as collaborate with other data analytics and programming students and staff on the team.
Perform other research activities as required.

Required
Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related quantitative field, with PhD preferred.
Three years related experience.
Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Experience with STATA, or R programming supporting health services or related research.
Experience of managing complex (e.g. National) databases with large samples.
Excellent interpersonal skills consulting with researchers and understanding their issues.
Excellent writing and verbal skills in the preparation and presentation of reports and publications.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Experience contributing to peer reviewed scientific publications.
Preferred
Training or experience in International Public Health.
Experience working with national survey and census data.
Strong statistical programming skills.
Prior work experience in academic or research health care settings.
Strong communication skills and experience working with diverse research teams.
STATA and R experience.
Contributing to peer reviewed scientific publications as a first author experience.
