Responsibilities

Prepares position evaluation reports and communicates actions resulting from position classification/management determinations.
Develops position descriptions, assigns positions to appropriate groups, and determines grade levels based on classification protocol and standards.
Maintains position description and classification data in HRIS.
Follows staffing processes including posting job announcements, reviewing qualifications, and extending job offers.
Reviews Request for Personnel Action and supporting documentation for completeness.
Maintains a library of Standard Field MAP position Job Opportunity Announcements.
Reviews applications for eligibility and determines qualified applicants based on evaluation criteria.
Provides determination of qualified and eligible applicants for Standard Field positions.
Maintains an organized library of questions accessible by staff and government personnel.

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or a related field.
5-10 years of Human Resources classification experience, preferably in the government sector.

Preferred

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to talk on the phone with ease and confidence.
Proficient in MS Office applications and applicant tracking systems.
A strong understanding of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Must have the ability to read, interpret and analyze Federal documents to ensure that a well-regulated classification program is maintained.
Ability to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships and work well as part of a team.
Experience staffing for Federal Management, Administrative, and Professional Positions.
Experience managing staffing processes, in a high-stress, national environment.
Monitor service quality and deliver against requirements within given SLAs.
Experience working in a fast-paced, complex, and deadline-oriented environment.
Must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques.
