Responsibilities
Translate and disseminate policy-relevant evidence through a variety of formats and channels
Co-create strategic messaging, dissemination, and engagement plans in support of project activities
Develop and implement strategic outreach campaigns, including identification and engagement of primary and secondary audiences
Maintain network of media/journalist contacts and place stories in relevant media outlets
Support government affairs and project colleagues in planning and execution of policymaker briefings and events
Collaborate in planning and execution of inclusive events and thought leadership forums
Develop content for the company’s external website, engagement emails, newsletters, blog posts, podcasts, and social media platforms
Conceptualize, plan, and produce high-quality digital and print products to engage priority audiences
Develop strategies for community engagement and dissemination, provide strategic communications counsel to proposal teams
Support diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts and apply diversity lens across job responsibilities
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required
Excellent writing skills a must; work should require minimal oversight and editing
Ability to synthesize and convey, through a variety of platforms and media, complex data and information for diverse audiences
Thorough knowledge of international, federal, or state policy issues in health, education, early childhood, employment, family support, international development, and/or nutrition
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, a plus
Exceptional project management and client service (internal and external) skills
Exercise sound judgment and work independently to accomplish tasks
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Political Science, Journalism, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
Seven years of progressively responsible, professional-level experience in a government organization, public relations, or a research or policy-oriented organization, or other comparable experience
