Responsibilities

Perform iterative data migrations from the legacy Oracle database to Cosmos DB based on sprint deliverables.

Ensure transactional data persists in the new system using name/value pairs for microservices architecture.

Sync migrated data between Cosmos DB and SQL Server to maintain consistency across the ecosystem.

Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to integrate the database with AIMS.

Leverage existing expertise in AIMS to align data structures, business rules, and transactional workflows.

Design, develop, and implement ETL processes using Profisee and Purview for efficient and accurate data transformation and migration.

Conduct data profiling, mapping, and cleansing to prepare for migration to the new architecture.

Validate and reconcile migrated data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.

Collaborate with QA teams to test data migration processes in staging environments using production snapshots.

Work iteratively, aligning with sprint scopes to deliver migration outcomes in sync with application development.

Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to provide updates and resolve data-related dependencies.

Document migration processes, data flows, and mappings for knowledge sharing and compliance.

Provide regular reports on migration progress, issues, and resolutions to project stakeholders.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and QA, to align on sprint objectives.

Act as a subject matter expert for database migration and provide guidance on best practices.

Required

Proven experience in database migration from legacy systems (e.g., Oracle) to modern architectures like Cosmos DB and SQL Server.

Strong expertise in ETL tools such as Profisee and Purview.

Solid understanding of microservices-based transactional systems and name/value pair persistence mechanisms.

Familiarity with AIMS system integration, with prior experience being a strong advantage.

Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and relational/non-relational database management.

Experience with iterative data migration in Agile environments and sprint-based delivery models.

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy and integrity.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
