Responsibilities
Assemble and ingest large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements by creating workflow orchestrations and writing SQL for transformations for deployments following the direction of data engineering project champions.
General understanding of engineering practices including adopting standards and principals
General understanding of ci/cd and data automation principals.
General understanding of terraform and terragrunt.
Ability to collaborate with peers on designs, code reviews, and testing.

Required
One year of experience is required.
Some of the minimum experience requirements may be met with bachelor’s or other advanced degree.
Coding experience with Python and SQL required
Demonstrate understanding of distributed computing
Demonstrate understanding of Hadoop and Spark/Apache Beam
Demonstrate understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) and Security best practices
Experience in Linux/Unix operating system, shell scripting/bash
Experience in version control
Demonstrate understanding of concepts for data warehousing and data modeling
Ability to participate in peer/paired programming with direct guidance, work assignments are straightforward and defined.
Experience with RDBMS systems and/or large scale data.
Demonstrated success translating business requirements to technical specifications.
Abilities to capture and consolidate functional requirements into technical requirements documents and communicate documents to the team.
Work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
With limited guidance, responsible for working on moderately complex assignments/projects
Regularly exercises independent judgment on matters of significance including making recommendations on management
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
