Responsibilities

Good communication skills

Capable of documenting instruction sets and keeping a knowledgebase library/catalog

Extensive knowledge in Ansible Community Edition [Core] (AWX)/Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AKA Ansible Tower), including but not limited to playbook writing, code manipulation in YAML, JSON, JavaScript, and PowerShell

Extensive knowledge of Linux, including but not limited to command line utilities, folder structures, logs, cron jobs, and BASH

Extensive knowledge in VMware vSphere environments, including but not limited to vCSA, ESXi Hosts, and networking components

Hands-on experience in automating manual tasks using Ansible and PowerShell scripts

Hands-on experience with web-based automation solutions like Ansible Tower

Should have a general understanding of automating deployments of vSphere compute components, preferably using Ansible

Should have worked extensively on automating configuration changes, PowerCLI/PowerShell, and/or Python

Should have a general understanding of automating Backup and Restore processes

Should have a working knowledge of automating/scripting using and manipulating REST API calls

Automating routine administrative tasks

Should have a working knowledge of version control tools like Git/GitHub and/or Bitbucket.
