Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the overall specialty pharmacy new business strategy and tactical plans and work closely with the VP of Specialty Pharmacy Operations.
Responsible for Business Development relating to specialty pharma, specialty pharmacy consultant communities, and small biotech companies to ensure inclusion in manufacturer RFPs and access to limited distribution drugs, CGT, rare/orphan medications.
Will represent Walgreens specialty at industry conferences, media, and external high profile engagements.
Drive connectivity between the pipeline and pharma manufactures to enhance service delivery
Proactively pursue strategic partnership opportunities before the RFP process to enhance the growth of the specialty business
Function as a senior advisor to the Chief BioPharma Officer and VP of Specialty Operations, synthesizing and communicating complex ideas effectively.
Collaborates internally to ensure enterprise-wide alignment of specialty pipeline among specialty teams
Works with Specialty Operations Team for creating solutions and to help implementation of rare disease and oncology trade strategies that improve access to limited distribution drugs.
Works with RFP team and key stakeholders to successfully respond to manufacturer RFPs
Creates effective responses and finalist presentations to contribute gaining access to specialty products;
Monitors industry dynamics to update and successfully update strategies and Business Development focus
