Responsibilities
Lead the instructional design strategy, aligning learning programs with business objectives and organizational goals. Collaborate with leadership to identify key learning initiatives and priorities, ensuring that instructional design efforts support talent development and performance improvement.
Manage and develop a team of instructional designers, multimedia specialists, learning technologists, and project managers to deliver high-quality learning solutions. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members, helping them stay current with trends, skills, tools, and technology.
Oversee the design and development of learning programs, courses, videos, and modules, using proven instructional design models (such as ADDIE, SAM) and approaches that engage and motivate the modern learner. Leverage new technologies and approaches to deliver unique and creative learning experiences for all HubSpot learners.
Evaluate, recommend, and implement learning technologies and authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and LMS/LXP platforms) to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of our learning programs. Lead innovation efforts to incorporate emerging technologies (e.g., VR/AR, adaptive learning, AI) to enhance learner engagement and outcomes.
Use assessment and evaluation methods to measure learning effectiveness, collect feedback, and apply insights to continually improve learning solutions. Use data insights to drive improvements in learning outcomes, learner engagement, and overall program impact.
Plan, develop, and execute multi-channel communication campaigns to generate awareness and excitement for key training programs, such as onboarding, leadership development, and skills training. Monitor and adjust campaigns based on participation rates, feedback, and engagement metrics, ensuring continuous improvement in messaging effectiveness.

Required
10+ years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or training, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
Proven experience leading teams and managing complex instructional design projects from inception to completion.
Experience with instructional design for virtual, hybrid, and micro-learning environments.
Deep knowledge and appreciation of emerging learning technologies, such as AI in education, virtual/augmented reality, and adaptive learning systems.
Proven track record of creating effective communication strategies and engaging content within a corporate environment.
Ability to communicate clearly, simply, & thoughtfully on what their team is working on and how it impacts the business.
Belief in investing in lifelong learning, regularly soliciting, listening to, and acting on feedback across their peers and teams.
Self-aware, self-critical, and respectful in the approach to their growth.
Comfortable with ambiguity, proven adaptability, and excited about experimenting and embracing a growth mindset.
Hands-on leader who can roll up their sleeves and execute on deliverables as and when needed.
Excellent project management skills that allow effective prioritization of multiple initiatives and deliverables.
Preferred
Master’s degree.
