Responsibilities

Lead and inspire a high-performing team of AI architects and data scientists.

Develop and execute AI strategy aligned with WEX's strategic goals.

Lead the team in building AI solutions leveraging various machine learning models.

Actively contribute to the design, development, evaluation, and implementation of AI solutions.

Lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge AI models and algorithms.

Collaborate with stakeholders and build partnerships to address AI opportunities.

Foster a culture of AI adoption across WEX and measure the impact of AI initiatives.

Required

Advanced degree (PhD or MS) in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field.

15+ years of experience with 10+ years of experience in AI research, development, or deployment.

10+ years of experience leading and managing AI teams.

Proven track record of delivering impactful AI solutions to real-world business problems.

Experience with a wide range of AI techniques, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and computer vision.

Strong programming skills in Python, R, or other relevant languages.

Practice experience in using AI tools such as Dataiku, Sagemaker, as well as using large language models (LLMs) such as chatgpt, llama 2.

Preferred

Experience in the fintech or payments industry.

Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (e.g., AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI Platform).

Publications in top-tier AI conferences or journals.

Experience with AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
