Responsibilities
Conceive, design and develop innovative hardware architectures for new products.
Serve as technical lead for system design, including the development of sensors, actuators, power and driver electronics, electro-mechanical prototypes, embedded systems and control architectures.
Work within a multi-disciplinary team to develop cutting-edge technology.
Drive product definition, development execution and testing.
Specify test plans and participate in testing to verify compliance with requirements.
Interface with engineering managers and product & program management to drive new product development.
Develop business case, application, and theory of operation for engineering systems.
Engage with vendors and suppliers to evaluate and select technologies.
Be hands-on to bring online new product prototypes & proof of concept systems.
Mentor and coach new engineers and interns.
Support cost reduction and sustaining activities through design refinement and innovative systems architecture solutions.

Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, systems engineering, robotics or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of relevant industry work experience (or equivalent, including graduate level academic work).
3+ years of experience using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
3+ years of experience in designing control system architectures for electromechanical systems.
Fluency with microcontroller programming, embedded systems, designing electrical schematics and board level analog / digital design.
Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
Demonstrated track record of putting together systems integrating novel Hardware and Software components.
Preferred
Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, robotics, systems engineering or equivalent.
5+ Years of experience with Electro-mechanical Product Development, novel Sensors and Actuators, and Prototype HW-SW Systems development.
5+ years of HW-SW Systems Development experience demonstrated through a record of successfully shipping products and technologies bridging digital and physical systems.
Demonstrated history of working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
Track record of managing technical projects including the application of systems engineering approaches to mitigate project and program risk.
