Responsibilities

Manage lead database and assist with response to prospective franchise candidates.
Responsible for disclosing and vetting potential franchise candidates by review and analysis of financials, background/credit reports, and business/operational experience. Establish trusting relationships.
Collaborates with Sales and Operations Team through the approval process.
Manages the document collection, preparation, and presentation of the legal packets for processing development and franchise agreements for both new and existing franchisees.
Tracks document completion and collection of associated fees.
Responsible for compiling and tracking all development agreements and amendments. Manages and ensures compliance with franchise development agreements and legal agreement provisions, and other key development initiatives or projects (e.g., incentive programs). Tracks exclusive and non-exclusive development territories. Assists in tracking franchise non-compliance issues.
Responsible for franchise renewals including tracking, reporting, notifications, disclosures, securing updated contact/entity information and documenting any applicable renewal contingencies. Collaborates with legal on the preparation, tracking and securing of executed renewal agreements and applicable fees.
Manages store transfers from qualification to closing. Assists and guides franchisees and their buyers in navigating the sell and transfer of their location(s). Communicates the ROFR policy upfront to both parties, as applicable, and manages the communication and tracking of the internal ROFR review. Works closely with legal on the preparation and execution of the transfer documents and ensures collection of associated fees. Collaborates with the development team on helping franchisees creatively consider resales options and opportunities.
Manages franchise development’s vendor relationships including but not limited to lenders, due diligence and technology providers, franchise brokers and outside PR/marketing firms. Liaison between vendors and cross-functional departments, including collaboration with legal to ensure vendor contracts are reviewed and are consistent with management’s goals, policies, and procedures. Track vendor terms and conditions and address upcoming milestones including expiration and renewal dates.
Works with leadership on ongoing analysis for franchise development process improvements and implementation of templates, tools, reports, and resources to drive efficiency. Constant improvement mindset to strive for a better experience for candidates and franchisee partners. Collaborates cross-functionally with legal, IT and marketing to ensure adherence to policies and regulations related to franchise development (e.g., FTC, PII and ADA)

Required

Approximately 7-10 years of experience in corporate, franchise & license development/real estate experience
Demonstrated track-record of project, process/pipeline management. Full cycle deal experience required
Contract experience
5+ years of administrative support experience
Experience proof-reading and/or detailed document review
Extremely organized, attentive to detail, with a commitment to follow-up and follow-through
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple requests, meet deadlines, and work under time and resource constraints while maintaining accuracy
Initiative-taking and able to problem-solve independently and in a collaborative environment.
Excellent customer service skills, ability to establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners
Strong work ethic, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
Exceptional knowledge of document management software such as DocuSign and Adobe PDF Reader/Editor

Experience in the franchising industry heavily preferred
