Responsibilities
Supports the development and implementation of commodity/category strategy and procurement initiatives to enable long-term business growth
Reviews and comments on contractual deviations, participating in negotiation meetings and developing negotiation plans
Anticipates business risks and supports mitigating strategies with accuracy, quality, and timeliness of delivery
Review commercial offers and create detailed comparisons of pricing and terms
Analyze current and historical spend to identify supplier consolidation opportunities
Build and maintain should-cost models on specific products or cost categories to inform negotiation strategy and business objectives
Conduct quarterly and bi-annual reviews of strategic sourcing plan. Define and track cost reduction initiatives across supply, demand, and process improvements
Ensures adherence to policy, educates stakeholders and suppliers on Republic Services requirements
Performs market and industry trend analysis, evaluates supply sources, and assists stakeholders in identifying solutions to their needs
Develops effective management presentation materials based on findings, including professional display of information
Communicates regularly with internal stakeholders to maintain knowledge of the stakeholder’s business and opportunities and anticipate their needs/requests
Uncovers issues, evaluates various courses of action, and promotes the best option for resolution
Leads multiple projects simultaneously, including process planning and supplier quality improvement efforts
Performs other duties as assigned or apparent

Required
Experience in supply chain, construction and/or direct sourcing (i.e., manufacturing, and direct materials suppliers), preferred
Experience with MS PowerPoint and Access and eProcurement systems.
Demonstrated experience leading or providing direction to others.
Experience synthesizing data from various sources to present clear and actionable findings to stakeholders
3-5 years of supply chain and/or equivalent experience (i.e. Finance, Engineering, Accounting, Transportation, Operations, etc.)
