Responsibilities

Lead Feature Development: Architect, design, and implement complex new features within the Density API, ensuring they align with best practices for sustainability and efficiency.

Build Robust Software Systems: Design, develop, and optimize resilient software systems that support our logistics operations and sustainability goals, with high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.

Proactively Enhance Code Quality: Debug, test, and continuously refine code with a focus on performance and sustainability, adhering to high standards of quality and operational efficiency.

Collaborate and Innovate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product managers, data engineers, and stakeholders to develop impactful solutions that support eco-friendly logistics and supply chain operations.

Drive Observability and Monitoring: Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring and observability strategies within applications, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution.

Champion Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to the company’s eco-friendly objectives by designing code and infrastructure solutions that minimize environmental impact.

Required

7+ years of professional development experience, with at least 4 years focused on Python in complex, high-performance environments.

Experience in complex queries, optimization, and performance tuning in large-scale, data-intensive applications.

Deep experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform, including advanced knowledge of cloud-native services (e.g., Lambda, Cloud Run, App Engine, S3, BigQuery).

Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and API lifecycle management, with a focus on scalable, reusable code.

Proven experience applying Python best practices, agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficiency and continuous improvement in development cycles.

Expertise in designing systems that are resilient to failures, focusing on observability, monitoring, and automated recovery processes.

Proficiency in transactional and analytical databases, understanding their application within a real-time logistics platform.

Experience in startup environments, ideally within sectors related to logistics, environmental sustainability, or eco-friendly technology projects.

Hands-on experience with automated deployment, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code in cloud environments.

Advanced English proficiency, with excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a remote, international setting.
