Responsibilities
Provide technical direction and oversight as well as mentoring and training to junior-level staff members for site investigation and remediation projects.
Project Management and client interaction.
Contaminated land site assessment.
Hazard waste site characterization.
Preparation of Feasibility Studies under CERCLA and state programs.
Managing and performing remedial design under CERLCA and state cleanup programs.
Design, installation, and operation of treatment systems for site remediation.
Regulatory permitting, environmental compliance, and liabilities management.
Performance monitoring and reporting for permit compliance.
Completing assigned work scopes on time and within budget and in compliance with WSP-Golder's project management and delivery requirements and guidelines.
Proposal writing and maintaining/developing client relationships to ensure project delivery and generation or repeat business.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required
B.S. in Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
Professional Engineer registration, preferably in Washington.
7+ years of experience in environmental remediation projects.
In-depth experience in planning and executing investigation and remediation programs for a diverse set of clients.
Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated project management and team leadership skills.
Must be able to pass a HAZWOPER physical and be medically able to wear a tight-fitting respirator.
Strong technical knowledge and the desire to excel.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
Position requires some travel and fieldwork.
Preferred
Experience identifying and leading project pursuits.
Strong knowledge of federal and state regulatory programs (e.g., MTCA, RCRA, CERCLA).
Experience in mine site investigation, feasibility studies, and remediation.
Demonstrated experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.
40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
Experience evaluating and designing treatment systems for site remediation.
Good knowledge of chemistry and process engineering, especially in the environmental remediation design Construction management experience.
