Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive reviews of healthcare records for accuracy in revenue cycle billing compliance
Produce detailed audit finding reports with quantifiable impact and improvement recommendations
Communicate findings regarding clinical documentation guidelines and coding principles clearly
Participate in internal and external audits, including Recovery Auditor Contractors and other compliance audits
Generate and utilize auditing platforms for denials and coding reviews

Required
Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Minimum of five years' experience in healthcare coding for inpatient, outpatient, and professional fee services
Required certification: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or equivalent
Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and ICD-10-PCS coding guidelines
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Five years' experience in auditing within clinic and/or facility revenue cycle
Additional certifications such as Certified E&M Auditor (CEMA) or Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS)
Experience leading multi-disciplinary workgroups or projects
Familiarity with state and federal regulations and payer program memoranda
