Responsibilities
Analyze and optimize SQL queries on the Snowflake platform to improve performance and reduce costs.
Track and report cost reductions from optimized queries, with a target of $1.2M in annualized savings by year-end.
Work closely with DES teams to implement optimizations, testing, and deployment across environments (development, testing, and production).
Identify and implement best practices for query performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Utilize tools like Jira, GitHub, Teams, and Zoom for project management and communication.

Required
Proven experience optimizing queries on Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong SQL skills with experience in performance tuning and cost optimization for cloud-based data platforms.
Strong analytical skills to identify inefficiencies and implement cost-saving solutions.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team.
Preferred
Snowflake certification or equivalent experience.
